Lynchburg is Scholastic Educational Opportunities for Every Goal
Scholastics in higher education is an area in which Lynchburg, Virginia excels. Lynchburg is known for many things but one of the most amazing is its sheer number of choices for receiving an undergraduate or advanced degree. Choices of where to get your degree are many and varied. Lynchburg City has 11 elementary schools, 3 middle schools, 2 high schools, the Central Virginia Governor's School for Science and Technology and 6 private schools, five of which are faith based. The surrounding four counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford and Campbell collectively have 31 elementary schools, 8 middle schools, 7 high schools and seven private schools plus the Bedford Science and Technology Center and the Campbell County Technical Center.
