Kings Island Restaurant has been in business for 32 years, having first opened in 1977, making it Lynchburg's oldest Chinese restaurant. It's management is extremely innovative and creative and has the distinction of beig the first Chinese restaurant to install a full sushi bar with skillful Sushi Chefs who create assortments of edible art from the fresh ingredients. The buffett is incredible with many, many excellent choices and is always well serviced.  There is probably no item of Chinese or Asian cuisine that is not available at King's Island. It has it all when it comes to good food, good prices, and a capable, attentive staff. As validation to its lasting popularity, it was Voted the best Asian restaurant in Lynchburg for 2008 by readers of Lynchburg Living magazine (January/February 2009 issue). Also as a testament to its popularity is that it is always busy and at certain times, the wait to be seated can take several minutes and at peak hours, the time between ordering and food appearing on the table can get a bit long...but it's worth it. Also during the busy lunch and dinner hours, parking can be a bit challenging. Kings Island features anything anyone would ever want in an Asian or Chinese restaurant. Saturday: 4:30pm - 11:00pm

Note that the lunch buffet hours are Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 2:30pm and Sunday from 11:30am to 3:00pm.Sunday is especially busy from about noon to 1:30 due to the "after church" crowd. King's Island
